Ya makes sence R JUNKIE.. Hethrington was a pretty strong runner back in the day too.. I would imagine Brain Malcolm had a track title or two in the missing 83-85 years as well, although not sure what Barrie's top division was in 84 and 85.. I think they might of went to Late Model Sportman type cars after Joe's 83 title..Theres also a time period missing in the late 90s when the track was closed for a couple years..
Check Statman's site. All your questions will be answered or others will come to mind. Looks like he put a lot of work into his History of Barrie Speedway.
CanadianRacer also has some stuff there.
Thanks ERNIE, that was indeed the chart I was looking for.. Its also posted on this site somewhere or was at one point.. And looks like I was right about Brian Malcolm also having track titles in the missing time period.. I'm gonna try and take it upon myself to see the missing plates get filled out and added for the one's I know for sure.. Really a cool trophy too as its signed by someone too..Gonna check it out but I think it might be by Vic Parsons the first champ in 1965.. Nice to see my memory still works a little.. And yes Rod has done some incredible work perserving BSW history on his site..
Hey Dave, what ever happened to the Charger Championship trophy, we never did see it with Shawn's name on it, nor did he ever get to have it for a while. Just curious
No clue on the Charger division trophy or even if such a animal ever existed.. coulda been lost in the ownership shuffle of 2007-2008 not sure really..
