I might be wrong but if I owned a track I would be here, but if I saw people just bad mouthing and bashing I would take it as a few people whining.

I going to make a suggesting that I think will benefit the drivers, teams and tracks.

If you have issues please try to contact them first and try and work it out. If you feel it went on deaf ears come here and post in a nice way, not slamming them because they didn't answer your questions or fix the issues. Track management are busy people and get tons of emails or calls and sometimes things are missed. I get this all the time people say why isn't my press release posted on here. I sometimes don't get them or they got deleted by mistake as they got in my spam box.

There is a right way of posting a message to get things addressed and titles like WTF in a message title is not one of them.

Stick to the issues at hand by saying you are leaving the track and others should follow is not going to get issues involved.

Maybe title it Things I would like to see fixed at a track. Your tone sometimes sets the tone of the replies you get.

Note to Track Management: CRO has always been a great free tool to improve your track and I know a few tracks come here and listen to what people have to say about the track. There are a few that think they don't want to hear what is being said on CRO and it is a evil place and all they care about is bashing and ruining the tracks. Not true and you will notice one track knows that CRO is a good place and has enhanced there presents on CRO and is not lost among the other track message boards.

I hope this helps and makes sense.

Evan

sorry if you all took the comment that i made the wrong way. I just felt I was entitled to my opinion about Barrie Speedway. Numerous times dad went to ask questions and was shunned away without being given a response and was treated unfairly on numerous occasions. I am not the only one that feels this way about the track and how it has been running.

I know many teams will jump ship, but I know new teams will begin to race there as well. I am just looking at the car count from 2008 which always had 25 Thunders racing each week and then in 2009 the numbers dwindled and I believe that they will dwindle once again. Barrie is a top notch facility that just needs some work on making things fair for everyone with the same rules across the board no matter who is involved. Maybe I put it wrong....What I meant was that i'd rather win a championship with 25 cars each week then say 6 cars running each week. I know a championship is still a championship but you know if a guy wins a championship with 6 cars in the field that people will probably say that he only won it because of the car count.....that's my opinion......i am not completely bashing anybody. I really hope that Barrie Speedway management really starts to improve because I would love to go back there sometime and race in the future, I just feel that the way things have been going the last 2 years would just make no sense in going back there for us or for some other teams that have run into problems there.......Hopefully people see what I said a little differently now that i have clarified my point of view.

Well I know from my point of view, I would like to try something DIFFERENT...

I have the utmost of respect for Steve Slaughter Sr. and Mark Dilley and I'm very happy to see the new ownership group is "on board".

I don't dislike Barrie Speedway, I think it's a great place and I hope it does succeed. I'm not saying I won't ever go back, but I think it's time for a change of scenery. I was impressed by the number of Invitationals and make up races at Sunset, and the effort put in to work with the racers to get the shows in. Best 13 of 18 is awesome too, so your whole life is not consumed by racing in the summer. We had 1 night off this year at Barrie. It just seems to me there are more plus marks for Sunset right now, new owners, new management that are "on top of it", good cheeseburgers at a reasonable price (this is the real reason right here LOL), the fans are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable... It's time.

I wonder if the managment at Sunset will give us an ides on the GEAR needed for the new track, before the snow flys?  I have the feeling 3.73 with a glide in low will be wayyyyyyyyyy to much, if you know what i mean.

I know when they re-did Barrie they had Steve Penny, John Gaunt, and a few others test it out.

(Hey Jimmy, what the heck went on saturday, you took a real hit in the points.  Sorry to see that, you were at the top all year?)
