Hey Davey thanks for the mention. I would be honoured to race in the Garry Reynolds Memorial Invitational. I learned alot from Garry my first couple of years racing in the six cylinder class at Barrie. I will definitely be at the track that night to watch a great race. Pretty sure Barrie Speedway historian, Statsman is also attending with camera in hand.

Well sure you can come over and hang WATTIE.. As for Bradley, well he maybe AWOL at work that evening so you might also be treated to my golden barritones over the mic too..
And Keith no worries as I say really just spitballin here.. The list could be endless of guys I'd like to see race this one.. However if there is an open school car ride it really must go to someone who has a connection to Garry and your early 6 cyl days fit that mold.. Regardless will be great to see both yourself and Rod and family at BSW once again..
I'll dust off my penmanship and do the write for you that night because I had a good relationship with Gary and Donna in my Barrie days great people even went with Gary to Delaware a few times when he ran CASCAR for 2 years. I would be honoured to contribute to what promises to be a great and emotional night.
That would be cool Brian.. I was actually hoping to put together a bit of a speech to be read sometime before the race and hoped to include a detailed rundown of some of Garry's stats and accomplishments, maybe getting a quote from a driver or two along the way either in pit pre race or during driver intro's (if they have them that night) on the track itself.. I would really like access to STATSMAN's former website so I can dig up some facts on Garry's career I dont know off memory.. I'm not sure of the year but Garry won 13 of 16 features raced in 6cyl.. but things like that escape me.. Rod had a really nice section on Garry on the former KDM website as well as alot of neat stuff on Don Hawn, The Watson's, Bill and Larry Stefnik etc.. I think and hope I can find some details still from his Fotki site.. I think ironically enough if I go back a few pages of threads on this site to one titled "Joe Belesky" I can find some of the details I need on Garry.. I'd really like to put together something heart felt and special, but cant promise I wont get teary reading it!! :'(
