Frustrated??!! Glad it's over.....

We came back racing to honour my friend and a great track supporter, Jim Anderson. I haven't driven a car in over 20 years and it took a few weeks to get sorted. When I did the car was great. We were only there for fun!!! Just wanted to race, hang out with some old friends and have fun!I am so glad it's over for this year. I was hit, slammed, pushed and driven into more times then I care to imagine. For what? Don't tell me I was in your way, I made sure that I picked a lane to drive in. Go around!!! But NOOOOO that would be too easy. Most and I mean most of my repair expenses were caused by 2 cars and for the life of me the officials never said sh$t. One car has a body so shredded that if you got within an inch or 2 you cut a tire and that's if the car was straight enough thru the corners to tempt fate. The other one was just a little to, a little to...... I don't know the right word to throw in here but I do know I wasn't the only one that got it. And then you had the rolling road block, lap after lap, following and following trying to get by without trunking the crap out someone! I thought a few times of doing it, after all I was already at the back!I learned this past weekend that it is encouraged by a couple of teams that wrecking other cars is a good thing to do. WTF!? If I had of heard this a couple of week ago there would have been a huge pile of scrap out on that track. Even more then there was already that was caused by the same car.I guess some guys have less brains than money.....I know what i won't be doing next year! THANK YOU to all those that made this year enjoyable, it was fun to "race" with most of you and it was hard to stay away from the rest.

I wasnt even in a car this year and I am " Glad it's over".

Since our team keeps getting asked about the results of the protest on Saturday night in the mini stock division. I will just post the results here so I don't have to keep repeating myself. The 400 was found to have an ILLEGAL flywheel Saturday night, but the track has decided to over throw the decision, let them keep the win, and give the 14 his money back.

Like I said, just letting everyone know what happened. For anyone wondering why it was thrown out, I will try to explain . Upon filling out the protest sheet, there were no $ amounts of what was needed to protest. Since we had no printed version of the rules available, we asked the tech official how much. We provided the requested amount and the track continued with the protest. Upon research it was found that the flywheel is not off a Mustang BUT we were informed the proper $$ had not been put down, resulting in what I already explained in my previous post.

No bashing, trashing, whatever. Just stating facts.

Noone on your team has a phone? Next time use your head and go to the website because it CLEARLY states:

PROTEST FEES

PURE STOCK

Crank shaft $350.00
Piston & Rod $300.00
All other $150.00

If you're going to protest at least have your shit straight when doing so.

New to this site may be a stupid question but would'nt that be part of tech inspection on any picked by them
