Excuse me for my terminalogy.  Mini stocks then?  The point being I didn't realize there was such a difference.

I also know some of the 4 funs are unsafe.  If I was to have run at Sunset I would probably want to buy as close to a RR as possible (body wise) so she could upgrade later.

If your G/F means anything to you, then you would not scrimp on the safety factor. Barrie has very high standards when it comes to safety, whether it be the A division or the chargers. Cars are exactly the same, but the hightest safety standards around, and you just can't put a price on safety if god forbid something does happen. The chargers is a great division for anyone to start in racing and get a solid foundation to go forward on. Sunset may offer a cheap way into the sport, but don't let it fool you, should something happen on that track, high safety standards won't let you down, taking a cheap way may have you regretting your decision..... just a thought.

I'm going to stand up for the Sunset 4-funs here for once....

With a FULL CAGE, race seat, 5 point, fire suit and a racing rim on the RF, I don't see anything wrong with the Sunset 4-funs.

I think they would be cheaper to start in, and you would run more competitively. The Barrie charger class seems to be a bit more competitve, and might take a year of experince.

I wouldn't look for a car to "upgrade" as, if its even allowed, a competive mini-stock car probably won't make the 4-fun rules. You don't want to be wasting a Prelude in 4-funs, and you don't want to try a Tempo in minis.

Remeber tech is not going to save your butt. Only you can do that.
