So I'm just wondering if everyone that races at Barrie has had a chance to see the pricing for this weekend. I was looking at it today and the members pit price is $30 dollars. Whats up with that?? I have sent an email out to Jim just asking why the price jump from last year because I do recall that it was only $19 dollars for us to get in.
Another question is when does racing actually start?
The schedule says 5pm
The "Priceing Sheet" says 3pm
& the online tickets say 4pm
???
from what was said at the drivers meeting pits open at 11am-- and barrienext gen too many rain-checks equals low bank and that equals to hit the drivers and crew up they will pay to race here sat night and get reamed out for the food
I swear when I looked at the pricing last night, it said $19 for members, today it's different. Seems to be the same deal as last year, $$$ wise anyhow. I wasn't at that race either. When I consider the bang for my spectating buck, I'll catch the race at KD in a couple weeks. Bigger track, great venue, $10 less for pit admission, and only $1 for a pop.
The Nascar membership should include this race, absolutely! How do they justify bumping the membership price for this event, when they promoted the membership as including special events? Good news is, I think all the cars will fit easily in the pits, they're only half full on a regular night anyhow. Truly sad, but I believe we are witnessing the slow death of a speedway. What a shame that the hits just keep coming, so many talented drivers at BSW, but nothing is done to keep them coming back.
Pretty amazing that a few years back, this track was at its peak, it was clean, had a good car count and crowd, and was looked upon to be among the best in the province. What a change in management can do to kill a speedway, and it took just over a year.
