The Official press release will this Friday they wanted drivers, crews and fans to be the first to know.
OK enough of # 47 and other tracks, can we return to the thread subject. Barrie 97 how about some of those journalism skills ? For those of us who were not in attendace at a drivers meeting please enlighten us with some info. Who are the new owners, their company name, principals etc ? Will Brad or Steeve be staying on ? Will it remain Nascar santioned ? Will they have the same divisions next year ? When is the sale effective ? What is their objective for buying the track ? (other than making money) and what improvements will be made if any ? Did Brad or Steeve stay in for a piece and who will manage the track next year ? Please enlighten us all as curious minds want to know including fans who were not at the drivers meetings.
No probs Rickyyyy lol
i want at the driver's meeting either...i was ato work...but here is what i dug up.
three men...two from thsi area, one from toronto...they are race fans and not racers...brad and steeve are completely out of it...nbot sure on management, they will prolly bring in a promoter...they look like spend the moeny and stay outta the way guys to me...jmo...they would like it to be THE spot to race in Canada...smnall improvements are better roads in the pits, new flagstand on backstretch, new two story tower, new grandstands, more advertising... There were no business anmes released and i dontknow if they gave out the names of the ppl...
can't wait to see what is going to happen at t he highline next year! should be good for racing and fans alike!
I'm not convinced that anything will change other than the look and layout of the track (not a bad thing). The three gentlemen stated that they are going to hire someone to manage the track for them. Steve and Brad will be on until the end of this season.
Big Announcement Friday 7th September Regarding Barrie Speedway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
