The complaint letter has gone to the track several times already. They had their chance and never even had the parts to even reply.
taj, maybe if half the drivers who bitch and moan in all the divisions on here were to sign it, with their nascar number recorded, and sent by courier, so they are known to have received it, they would change their tune. Its worth a shot. If nothing else then the letter could be sent to nascar, with the fact the track has ignored complaints, in person and by post. If i held a nascar license i would be the first to sign it, and the first to attempt a drivers commitee. unless the drivers commitee wants a non member spokesman. Brian doesnt scare me. LOL
So I admit I am a little behind on this one, I just read everything written on this thread start to finish and would like to comment as well. I agree that if you have no idea about or ties to racing then this might not be the place to add your two cents, however you do not have to race a car to be affected by the serious decline at BSW right now. Besides drivers there are crews that put blood and sweat into it not just on Sat night but many other nights as well, there are families that are at home when the night is over and when the equipment is being put back together, there are spouses that have equal dollars and effort involved in the car as the drivers, there are owners and sponsors who have donated there money( I say donated because quite often the return they know they are going to get is much less than the dollars they put out they do it because they love the sport) and there are many others. These people all have an opinion, they are all contributers, yes without drivers there is no show but without all of these people there will be no drivers. Now...

Belesky If you and all the complaining members on this forum were singled out (l'm sure its being done) and then they were simply told hey we are very sorry that you are so unhappy and disatisfied and it would be best for both of us if you no longer attend Barrie Speedway anymore. Do the same at Sunset with all the complaining malcontents they have and its game over,no more complaining,no more unions no more B/S.Its true its true.
So if you know the owner so well the you probably shouldn't nick name things like The Dave Doucette Policy unless of course you are again trying to tell us something. If they want all of us to leave and stop giving a damn then by all means post a sign on highway eleven that reads " If you are interested in making this speedway a better place or if you give a damn because you know that the drivers here are of the best caliber, Please turn you hauler around because this track doesn't care about you, just the end of the evening take" At least then we would all know exactly what was going on instead we are all treated to the blank stare, and left to guess what that means.

Look around they all ready are,they are just doing it very slowly (speedway suicide)
I think that the best thing that will happen this year unless something drastic gives with the management is that the new owners will realize they aren't making money hand over fist and they will sell.

Glad to here that Jim ,got to watch you earlier in the year when you were at sunset and thought you were a class guy.I also hope some of the other barrie guys make the haul , like chris frank dave and ed. The last time you guys all showed up , it was one of the best thunder car shows of the year. One of the few times this year that i wouldn't of minded paying the little extra at the gate for a good show. This time i will make an effort to come down in the pits and meet you guys.
