The Polish Prince reigns supreme at barrie speedway! After a long and hard battle starting from the back AGAIN. His majesty The Polish Prince, MR. JIM BELESKEY in his Hoskings powered malibu spanked the field to win the feature for the 7th time {so far} and clinch the 2010 Thundercar Championship. I'm surprised the track didn't announce it during the post race interview but were sure to mention the lack of stickers on the car in TECH! From myself and all your fans your majesty, we would all like to thank you the best season of racing since the start of barrie speedway. P.S i know this because i was there!!!! HAIL TO THE PRINCE!!!
Congrats ''Jim,,You did a great job this Season'' :-* :-* :-* :-*
Congratulations on returning the storied Beleskey name to the top of the Championship charts!
Now are you telling me it took them until the NASCAR guys showed up to notice the lack of fender decals on that great looking Malibu?
thanks guys. apparently they didn't notice until yesterday ??? i run the nascar whelen decal because they pay some of the points fund. the place or should i say , the side they want the 1000 stickers, i sold to 2 sponsors in excess of 4000 bucks. i don't see the university of ohio sending me a cheque. without these sponsors i could not race. the late models fenders are much bigger and flatter to accomodate these stickers, the bottom of my fenders are 4 inches wide. i was told unless they are on by next weekend, i won't get any nascar points $$$. sorry sponsors, i hope you understand but i can't lose that. its only for one night!! thanks for everything, you know who you are. as dave vokey pointed out, the last time a beleskey was champ was in 1983. 27 years ago, uncle joes number was 27..........pretty cool!
NASCAR is pretty strict on associate / contingency sponsor decals. I'm surprised that NASCAR allowed you to run as long as you did without them. Usually it's mandatory to run them in order to quality for contingency funds (which is likely a component of your total year end NASCAR points fund).
Don't be surprised if they hold back some because you didn't have all the contingency stickers on for all your points races....
NASCAR has done that a few times to guys at tracks in the U.S. It's supposed to be in the NASCAR rule book where every associate / contingency sticker goes on the race car. If you don't put them on where they want, they don't have to pay out.
