Speedwaybob ~ You're fooling yourself if you believe that the majority of drivers/crews are not pushing the limit, or crossing the lines regarding the rules. IMO if your not cheating, you're not winning! The only difference is that some are better illusionists than others. No slight to any of the Tech Guys, pretty impossible to catch everything all the time (in the short amount of time you have to get the cars through TL). It's just the nature of the beast...... all part of the game, and the competition. Calling someone a cheater is only admitting they're better at it than you are. Again, just my POV.

I am not a big fan of Peters but I think he is an excellent fabricator . If you know how they are cheating you need to lay it on out but just taking pot shots at the guy from a key board is very lame. From the few times I have been to Barrie this year I think Baker is going to win the championship using that age old dirty trick of out driving everyone else from what I have seen .
Baker has always been a clean and consistant driver even before Shotanus helped him out. I know how well of a driver he is ever since he started racing LLM or LM or in the Alstar Series. He has been a top runner in all of those divisions regardless of who is helping him out. Although I am not very old as I am only 24 years old I do not know anything about Shotanus other then the fact that my dad says that he is a very smart man. He seems to be a stand up guy any time I have talked to him in Baker's pits. Baker has skill and always has had the skill. stop picking on drivers just because they are doing well. It is sad to see that we treat our good drivers at Barrie Speedway like dirt. That does not say much about the track. Let's give the track a good name and cheer on our good drivers instead.
do you guys not have a tear down rule? after five years on the tech committee in a club with a tear down rule,$100 top end-$200 bottom end, i have seen it used only once. we have drivers constantly saying this person is cheating that one is cheating but when it comes time to lay the money down they are gone. it has gotten to the point where we as a club have started a ethics committee to deal with the accusers.it hurts the sport and a teams relationship with their sponsors to constantly hear the car they support is a cheater. i have come to believe those that cry cheater are those who are to lazy to go home and work on their cars to better them. it is not up to the promotor,tech official, track or club to slow down fast cars,it is only their job to provide a level playing field, if someone is better than you fix your car ,if you believe they are illegal put up the money and tear them down.
