It was cold as all hell last night....I know I was freezing anyways, but with the anount of fans packing into the place it didnt take long to cuddle up beside someone and warm right up...(there were some FINE girls there last night...my oh my)

Anyways, I was in the Pure Stock A race and missed the charger feature as well...so hopefully Dave can fill in those ones and I willl get down to the nitty gritty with the TC's and LLM's.

In the XCOPPER Thunder car feature, there would be fireworks a plenty as Darryl St./ Onge appeared to have missed the start fo the race with car trouble, BUT the race went yellow before one lap was completed and the 00 made it out and was able to start at the back on the same lap for the restart...lucky him, but good on his crew!

Darryl would have to work his way to the front as he was the 21st car tot ake the green of the 21 vcars in the field. Davey and Doucette were somewhere near 3/4 pack and undoubtedly not too happy about the 00 being able to play tonight!

The green would fly and the #9 of Chris Burrage would be the early leader and would lead for quite a few laps as the #2 of Eddy tremblay would be right on his bumper for most of them. Burrage and Tremblay would be nose-top-tail past the halfway to go as the 00 had caught and passed the 44 and 49 and now sat in 5th. It was a slick move as Darryl split the defence past the 24 and 44 and then went to the outside past the 49. He would then make and error and those two would again pass him back....with 5 to go the 48 of Kylke Baker would move past the 2 of Eddy Tremblay and the 9 of Chris Burrage and into the lead with the 2 right n his heals while back oin the pack the 50 of Dave Melson would pile into the back of the 00 of Darryl st. Onge, breaking something it appeared in St. OInge's drive line and ending both their nights as the 50 was black flagged. As a result there would be a green-white-checkered, btu when the field got the 1 tog o Brandon Crumbie int he 59 would blow up and spew oil everywhere from the flagstand to the middle of 1 and 2. This would end the race and Kyle Baker would win it under caution...

In the FULL THROTTLE Late model division would take the green flag with the 36 of Stoyan Zutich and the 69 of Alan Inglis on the front row. The 36 would move to the front off the hop as he seemed to eb a lil stronger than Inglis in the early going. the 19 of Keith McLeod and the 48 of Dwayne Baker were mired int he back based on their handy-cap but were coming in the early going. It really seemed that on this night the bottom was where u wanted to be, even after witnessing Jongen hang it out and be blazing fast onthe high line the last three weekends. Just past the halfway point it was the 36 of Zutich followed by the 10 of Gord Shepherd who had moved into the 2nd spot and the 69 of Inglis followed by the 48 of Baker and the 19 of McLeod then the 8 of Lewis and the 28 of Jongen.

This si where thigns would get interesting as the 48 would make his was inside the 69, coming off turn 4 the 69 would cut down on Baker and the two would slow up....McLeod would get ont he breaks hard but bang into the 48 sending him around. The 8 of Dave Lewis would then pile intot he 19 of McLeod but it would all be sorted out. After the meley it was found that it was not Keith's fault so the let him have his spot back. In the end only the 48 of Dwayne Baker was at the back all by himself. He was some kinda mad at the 19 though. The race would restart 36-10-19 i believe. The 10 would work himself around the 36 through 3 and 4 and would find himself checking out a bit. The 19 would then get around the 36 and with 2 to go was glued to teh 10's bumper. The19 would come off 2 and cut to the inside and got to the wheel of the 10, but gordy was ahving none of it and chopped down on him as the two would get together pretty hard. Keith did the right thing as he is big picture racing and backed out fo it giving the win to the 10 of Gord Shepherd. Teh 48 i believe mad eit up to 7th and as a result I believe that officially ahnds the points lead over to the 19,but i could be mistaken. I am a journalist for one reason....so i don't have to do math.

all ina ll a good ngiht again at the track. Next Saturday will be WAYYYY better as the NCATS rolls into town for their second and last show of the season at the high line!

Just for the record, Dave Melson 50, did not pile into st onge.  00 had mechanical issues.  The black flag was given for an off the track incident, just thought I would clear that up.  Dave did awesome for just purchasing the car a few hours before the night started and had never driven the 50 before.

Thayne This Dave Melson, earlier post was from my wife, Just to clarify on the incident with the 00 and myself, we were running in the outside lane and everyone checked up in front and Darrel went to hit the brakes and his pedal went to the floor thus hitting holden in the rear sending himself sideways comming out of 4 I dove under the 00 not touching him at all but as he came off 4 he got into my right quarter panel sending me sideways up the front stretch, thus the track thought I did something and black flagged me, the call was reversed later after a review of the situation, mind you I still did get dq'ed for a crew member flappin his lips in the pits about it, needless to say that crew member was asked to leave and not return by me for his actions....
