Ya all in all I thought an excellent night of racing!!! Good crowd on hand as well!! Lewis was a rocket all night long and from what I could tell had all new body on the car, and was lookin pristine on his sponsors night!! One quick correction is that there were 18 Lates not 19, but for one car I wont argue!!LOL Only 17 took green for the 2nd 40 though after Kevin Reynolds didnt start due to running into Jongen in the first 40. I cant believe he didnt see the developments up front!! Jongen who was also lightning fast could of easily won both 40s if not for the bad luck!!! He hasnt won a feature since the 2005 season and I for one was pulling for him!!! He battled with the LOOK COMPANY DODGE of McLeod for much of the night and those two treated the fans to some awesome racing!! The quick 3 in time trials were Baker 14.498 sec. Jongen 14.537 sec. and Lewis 14.624 sec. Of note I was impressed by Stoyan" The Barber" Zutich who ripped off a lap of 14.895 sec. good enough for 12th in only his 3rd night out!! Brad Holden was a bullet last night as well in the Thunders!!! Will just expand on the Pure Stocks it was D. Burrows, Watson, Slaughter Jr, B. Burrows and Glaze top 5 at conclusion of race. Chance Isherwood drove the 35 for the night in this division.Chargers was Stieler, Casey, Burtoo, Crossman and point leader Dave Crumbie top 5. On a personal note I got my yearly photo taken with McLeod in victory lane after the 1st 40. Keith has become my fav to watch!!! And great to see Kevin" Tex" Aiken out as well!!! Hey Kev gave you a bit of a mention in my report on the Barrie site!! Nice to see new cars out each week!!! Good luck the rest of the year Kevin!!!

OOPS forgot the kudos for Al Inglis who had a season best 3rd in the 2nd 40!! I like watching him as well, and hes comin on strong in the last month!! If anyone has seen him race in the past you would know the former Mosport LM champ can wheel a car!!!

Dave you got the top 5 wring in the feature for the charger division! it was Stieler, Casey, Burtoo, Crossman and Melson rounding out the top 5. Crumbie finishes 7th in that feature. Kevin thanks for the mention on barrie speedway website. Were all glad to help out in anyway we can.

Thanks Dave for the mention in your report. The race report was excellent as usual. We are very lucky that we have a couple of guys who are excellent writers like yourself and Thayne to do our write ups. And thanks go to all of the others who gave advice and help last night. I had a great time (other than the water accumulation in the bottom of the catch can for the fuel cell that made everyone think I had a fuel leak). I'm looking forward to the remaining nights of this season and a full season next year. I wasn't sure if I could get the car out this year, but I did and it will help me learn the track and get better. "Tex" eh? I kind of like it. Funny thing about that is I wore that hat just for something to do one night and everyone loved it. I hear about it every night and the Melson's love it because they can spot me 1/2 mile away. So I guess it's my trademark... I really wanted to see if I could get one of those pink hats the 50/50 girls were wearing for Tia Dale. That would've been awesome! LOL!

OOPS!!! Sorry guys it was indeed our own Kahnefreak that finishes 5th in the Charger feature, but at least I got it right where it counts on the website!!!LOL And WOW did the points battles ever tighten up in all divisions, with the exception of Pure Stocks where Dave Burrows widened his lead with another win!! But Crumbie and Slaughter Jr. are now tied for 2nd I see!! And SUBY new points leader!! CONGRATS on that, as you like Steeve are a very clean racer!! McLeod narrowed the gap between himself and Baker but I find it very confusing why the win wasnt added to his season total in the stats?? I know for a fact hes won 3 features at Barrie this year and website only shows 2!!! Now it could be that this was only a race for Whelen All American Series points but I find that odd as it was regualrily scheduled to be twin 40's and the previous time that happened I know both winners got credit on the site!!(and I'm not talkin about the time they made up the washout) Barrie LLM's have run double features 3 times this year and as far as I know EVERY race has counted for both Barrie points and NASCAR WHELEN points!! But why then would the 1st feature not count in the stats??  If you notice at the bottom of my report on the website it gives the results for the race Mcleod won and not the 2nd 40 yet McWhirter gets credit for a win in the stats and McLeod doesnt?? I put this in to the webmaster and am awaiting a reply!! It looks like the point totals are correct but just Mcleod's win total seems off!! If any of you know why this is please shed some light on this for me!! Could just be a mistake as well as we all make those as I did by reporting here on the 5th place finisher in the charger division!!!LOL
