You cant interpret rules unless you have a rule to interpret!  All penalties and action should have been noted the night of the incident, NOT at the meeting 7 days later!  If Steve new about this in prior to coming on Saturday I stand corrected, but I think dropping that bomb on him after he had lost his points and money is just adding salt to the wound.

But Charlie, where in the rules does it say a 2 week suspension for rough driving (a penalty i know was laid down)? Where does it say lapped cars must give way to the leader? Where does it say spun cars get their spot back? how bout tire doping? holding your lane?
There are rules that are not specifically mentioned that everyone follows. You cant say a 2 week suspension for rough driving, or else lewis and gord would have only raced about twice by now.
Its a floating target, and has to be addressed on a case by case basis.
Two guys as fast as each other that want to bounce of each other, vs a car(that on that night) was slower than the car attempting to pass him, both driven 3 wide by a retard lapped car, and the car on the dirty outside went around, contact or not, and then proceded to make 1 failed attempt, followed by a blatent stuff of the points leader, who was running 3rd in front of the rest of the pack.
Those are two wildly different scenarios, that are both different than the front stretch walling that incurred the 2 week suspension.

So where the hell does the target hit? would you have given him more or less?

From what i see, he got a 2 week suspension, but still gets to race. That seems pretty fair.
Shit theres only 12 cars, jim has won from the back a couple times. Make it happen

not to keep this going, but here is my opinion. i would take the scratch starts and be glad that i can still race. we buried the hatchet on saturday and its a done deal. i didn't see anyone holding out the $600 it cost me to replace a whole rearend including gear set, rim and tire also the time and effort to do it with the bodywork added on. so in short i would say, sometimes we all do something that isn't that smart. take your lumps and leave it alone, show up saturday and show them all what kind of driver you are and come from the back and win. it can be done and you can do it. i don't know about anyone else but i'd sooner take a shot in the head than ruin my racecar. settle your beefs in the pits and be men about it. this is not a dig at steeve, just saying cars are expensive, 200 motrin is $7.99.

there was no talk about anything like a suspension on that night. Darryl said come back next week and drive and all of that stuff. So I really don't know where that is coming from. As for starting scratch and all of that, nothing was mentioned to us until i went to pull my number for the night this past Saturday. So really I had no idea that that was even a rule. And by looking at the rules online it really isn't even a rule to begin with.

You all can say what you will on how i was suppose to be suspended but that is not the reality of the situation.

All they are saying is when Jim did it he was suspended. You never got suspended for the same thing. So I believe they are saying that should be good enough for you.
