Ok 20 min rundown time.. In an ironic twist it was again #57 Ron Quesnelle and #10 Gordie Shepherd that took 30 lap feature wins in LLM division. This time Quesnelle won the opening feature, with Shepherd taking the finale, after the reverse scenario occured last weekend. 1st 30 lapper started off very slow, with a complete restart called after Shepherd and Lewis got together once again while racing down the backstretch. The result of this forced point leader #69 Al Inglis to check up and get crossways as the 28 of Jongen piled hard into him and up over the rf quarter, leaving both cars heavily damaged, as only Inglis was able to continue.. Complete restart with #22 Rob Inglis taking the lead from outside pole and #6 Keith Maiato filing into 2nd behind him. After another early restart, Inglis was running 15.1 up front locked in a door to door with Maiato and Quesnelle was looking for racing room in behind. Quesnelle would dispose of Maiato, and then take the lead on the outside of Inglis on lap 9 entering turn 1. From there he opened up about half straight lead until the trio of Al Inglis, #8 Dave Lewis, and Shepherd  all filed by Rob Inglis who got trapped up high.. At the finish it was Quesnelle, Al Inglis, Lewis, Shepherd, and Rob Inglis the top 5.

Second feature was definitely the better of the two with only one caution, as Shepherd starting from 4th took the lead from pole sitter #5 Steve Quesnelle on lap 14 with a nice clean inside pass between 3&4.. The only caution came on lap 21, as Rob Inglis and Lewis made contact while racing out of 4, with Lewis spinning and both going to the rear of the field deemed involved cars. This put the Red Rocket outside of Shepherd on the restart, and after a pretty fierce battle they brushed together in 1&2, as Inglis drifted high and surendered 2nd to Ron Quesnelle.. The top 3 raced to the checkered in nose to tail fashion doing laps in the 14.8 sec. range, as Shepherd took the win by a single car length over Quesnelle. Al Inglis would finish 3rd, with Lewis and Rob Inglis the top 5. Season high 11 LLM in the pits tonight but the 28 of Jongen got taken out early, and rookie #49 Mike Woodward was a non starter for the 2nd feature... #36 Stoyan Zutich handed over the driving duties to Jongen for the 2nd feature after his wreck, so thats a pretty sportman like gesture.. I'm sure Robin might of gave him some good input and set up tips too so thats one that worked for both parties.. 😉

In the 30 lap caution free Thunder Car Feature it was CRO's own #12 Jim "Polish Prince" Belesky taking his 4th feature of the season in what was the best race of the night bar none..Belesky, would make it to the front just shy of the 10 lap mark after passing early race leader #99 Rick Walt with an inside move between 1&2. Walt, got shuffled further back in the running order, also getting trapped up high and finished 6th I think.. It was a pretty solid run for him all in all after some real tough luck so good job Rick!!!Belesky would soon find last weeks winner #9 Chris Burrage nipping at his heels, but the mighty #12 Malibu was able to maintain a 3-4 car length lead.. On lap 25 Burrage would lose 2nd to #3 Ken Denhollander, after drifting high in corner two. At the finish it was Belesky, DenHollander, Burrage, #14 Thayne Hallyburton, and #24 Leonard Johnston comprising the fast five..

Heats went to Belesky, DenHollander, Burrage, and Hallyburton.

A very clean 20 lap Pure Stock feature saw 15 cars take green as #13 Dave Gipper" Glaze took the win.. Second hat trick in a row for Glaze, who also took a pair of heat wins on this evening.. Point leader #15 Will Davies had a solid night in finishing 2nd in the feature, with a returning #88 John Mitchell, #19 Tim Foster, and #23 Terry Tompkins the top 5..Bit of a shout out to newcomer #27 Gilles "Frenchy" Harpin, who had a solid 6th place feature result after his Barrie debut came to a screeching halt against the turn 2 tire barrier last week..

Heats went to Glaze with two, Mitchell, and #90 Jim MacDonald.. Speaking of CRO's own CHARGER, tough night for him as he was forced to retire and had a DNF after positioning himself 2nd in points.. My heart goes out to ya Jimmy, go get em next week... ;)There you have it from the cheap seats..

apparently Barrie Speedway can make up their own rules as they go. In no way shape or form in the Scoring and Handicapping and the General Track rules listed on the website does it say anything about cars that get black flagged must run scratch in all races for the following 2 weeks. This is what Darryl said is the rule. I must shake my head in disgust on that. The track forced me to start scratch in the feature because of my black flag the previous week. They assured me that it was part of the rules and that it was on the website under general track rules. When I asked for them to show me where in the rules it was, they decided to beat around the bush and refused to show us. I think the track should have a set of rules handy in cases such as these and I am sure that they do, but knew they were wrong. They cannot make up rules as they go. Thus starting scratch cost me 3/4 of a straightway within the first 2 laps because of slower cars, which in turn probably cost me a top 5 including more money paid out as I was on the bumper of Rick Walt by the end but ended up 7th.

The only thing that the rules state about a black flag is that if you get one then you are handicapped as if you won all races for that event. Also states that it's a revolving 3 weeks precentage based on your last 3 weeks finishes. This being said I should have started in front of a couple of these cars that slowed me down.

I feel that I wrong done by this week as I already took a points hit and money hit for the previous week and the penalties should not have been continued on into the next week other then the 1 race out of my past 3 being counted as a win handicap wise. I feel that I am owed some sort of apology from the track based on the rules and I will call them out on it in the drivers meeting next week. The Speedway should be ashamed as much as I was of myself the previous week. I am in utter disgust on the call they made and the lack thereof to back up there call with the rules.

There is nothing like putting more wood on the fire. After last weeks performance I think the track was more than fair with you and your crew. This has always been a rule at BSW. You are not the first nor will you be the last to get a spanking from the track, take it like a man and move on.

This to me was one of the best nights of racing in the Thunder car division I have seen in a long time. Great racing by all. The PRINCE as always put on a first class show , love him or hate him he sure can drive. Ken, Chris, Thayne, Len, and Ricky Walt. If anyone wanted to see a first class show of sportsmanship all they had to do is watch young Mr. Walt in the feature, a true show of respect for all that race with him. Again what a run by the PRINCE if you haven,t been at the track yet to see his MAJESTY drive you are missing the show of a life time.

I am not sure if they changed the rules on Black Flags when they changed the points, etc. this year.  It was up to a year ago, if you got black flagged in the feature,  you got show up points, your heat points ,  but handicapped as if you won the feature, and that would be with you for 3 weeks as your revolving handicap.  If you got D.Q;d you got no points, and handicapped as if you won everything for the night, as it was part of the handicap.  You were never put to the back for the heats,  and never automatically scratch the next week in the feature, unless your handicap after calculated put you there.
