Ya the only things I was counting were very perky and came in pairs!!! 😉 Actually DAISY it was 9 LLM as mentioned earlier, 13 Thunders and 12 four bangers.. Nice to see a few more race fans in the bleachers as opposed to the season opener. I'm sure the temperature comparison between the two nights played a part in that.. Heard some really interesting "rumors" tonight from a couple of the higher ups.. Cant divulge though until I do some research and find out just what the validity of said rumors might be..Sherlock Vokey is on the job!!! 😉 😉
vokey, is what u are tracking down the multiple grace ngihts now....i believe barrie is now allowing 5 grace nights, and after just one night you will start being handicapped..should entice a few cars...
Hmm, funny how the people at Barrie speedway aren't on the sunset forum, asking what car counts were like there.
If you are so curious about what happens at Barrie speedway, why don't you go there to find out yourself!!!
What an awesome night of racing, Good job to all the drivers. It was some awesome racing to watch. A few close calls, and some unfortunate wrecks. But that's what happens when you put a group of cars together on a track, going at that speed, aspiring to be the winner!!
Looking forward to next Saturday night at Barrie speedway!! 🙂
I had heard that one Thayner, but that wasn't necessarily what I was talking about.. I like the multiple grace nights idea, hope it entices some of the Sauble guys down if they indeed have off nights up there..Would love to see Smokin Joe Adams and Todd Davenport try the Barrie track again, as well as some of the super competitive LLM they have up there. Perhaps a few Kawartha Thunders might make a trip or two to BSW to get a set up if there running the Stefco series.. Speaking of which havent heard much about either the Thunder or LLM series of late in regards to pay outs, rules, common officials and such.. Kinda suprised on that with the first race just over a month away.. Hope their not half hearted goin at this or it will never reach the heights we all know its capable of.. ::)
Kudos to Rama Moccasin and Smoke for stepping up for the LLM guys in a BIG way adding 5 grand to the year end purses (not the 4500.00 that was reported on the website..) Rick and Diane are awesome people and true supporters of racing at the local level.. I would think this might entice a few cars as well, as it might be alot more prosperous to run top 10 at Barrie (both weeks we've had 9 LLM) as opposed to say 15th-16th at Sunset. Time will tell I guess..
Dave, PM me what you heard?
The LLM final 30 lapper was insane racing between like 5 cars....it was fantastic!
