Well Davey in 2007 the weight penalty on the builts was 75 lbs and the crates won all the features in 2007, so yes I would say 100 lbs is too much extra weight to give up to the fast crate cars at Barrie. But unfortunately a crate won't help me here because my car won't get to 2900 lbs with proper percentages. If they had of left the minimum weight at 3000 lbs and added weight to the built engines I would be at Barrie with a crate under the hood. If I'm racing this year it doesn't look like Barrie is an option for me.
Keith
why not consider that Keith? Was that brought up?
WOW!!! Thats pretty big news that you might not be back to defend Keith. Didnt realize that the weight break to crates would have this kind of impact oin teams like yours. Is the weight issue because you have an older tube chassis??? So what is the minimum weight that you can get your car to weigh with a crate under the hood???(and proper percentages) And what is the minimum it will weigh with a built in comparasion??? Sorry for all the questions but I'm really wondering on this??? But if you dont return at least you went out in fine style Keith, with 8 feature wins over the last 2 years and the 2008 track title that was much deserved. I know you like me are a real BSW die hard, so this news is shocking to me!! But best of luck whatever you decide, and thanks for the memories of all those great rear of the field charges to the front you have strung together since you returned in 2007. Heres for hoping you can come up wih something and be back to defend the title bud!!!!

>:(This is not good news Keith; looks to me like Barrie is screwing up good racing, we need to get Barrie back to good ole Saturday night racing with people running the track that know what they are doing !
I totally agree with Kieth's point that the crates should remain at 3000 pounds and the builts go to 3100 pounds as it would be much easier to set the car up. I think that this is how it was done before, is that right Keith ?
