when you say iron duke are you meaning the gm 2.5l like in the fieros?

Yes but ones that cost 25K

i dont think the feiro in our mini class would be willing to spend that much,are there any cheaper ways to increase his hp,it is a fuel injected bone stock 2.5?

There is a lot you can do with an Iron Duke .Go to your local marina salvage company  for a treasure trove of performance parts. Mercury Marine had a Duke built just for them that made anywhere from 120 to 140 hp and all the parts pretty much interchange .

You should be able to find it if you google Mercruiser 120 or 140

Those Iron Duke engines came in lots of different cars, not just Fieros. They even had them in S-10 trucks and Jeeps for awhile I believe. The cam gears always stripped off and they are a nasty job. (but I know a trick).
