just my opinion but i would think a warning on such a trivial matter would have been just! just taking a couple of screws out of the rear load bolts could deem them "illegal" . being the second week in and trying to set up and tweek a new car or repaired car, making adjustments to the suspension i can totally see where the fuel cell height could be overlooked while doing so. knowing the two guys involved, i'm very sure they would not risk potentially losing a championship over something so trivial! warnings could have been issued. but thats just my take on the whole deal!
To Charlie, Jim and Gord...
Was the "misalignment"/error/mistake a BIG deal performance wise. You guys know better than I do and I can understand the comments that everything doesn't get checked every week.
Like I said if measurement was out but the guys finish 5th and 6th NO TECH inspection and thus NO DQ. I am just a fan with a bias (being a sponsor) and honestly curious why these measurements would not have been done pre-season start and then randomly rechecked as season goes on. I am guessing by Gord's earlier comments they were not checked.
Yes, I am left to wonder if warning is right call. A DQ is not good for all competitors including the ones who benefit from the other guy's DQ. To expand on earlier comments now if someone wins championship over Dwayne and Gord by less than 50 pts is it a hollow championship???
no,it would not be hollow. i also don't think its a HUGE advantage, yet it is an advantage in a miniscule way!
If it was 1 inch, I agree. A warning easily suffices. Brad is usually VERY good about this. If it was more than 3 inches or something like that then maybe Brad felt his hand was forced. I think it's also a little unfair to rail Brad on here as well where he can't defend himself (it'd be unprofessional to do so).
I know last year one of our cars had a run in where he let us off with 1 small thing (camber) the week before then he found another small thing (remember the spring debacle?) The following week and he said he let us slide on one and with the two back-to-back he couldn't let it slide this time.
Just food for thought considering someone brough up a wheelbase thing earlier. Not sure what car got pinched on it but maybe it was one of these two?

Holy !! 3" Plus? You don't have much respect for Dwayne or Gord's regard for rules eh? LMAO
