Back to the original topic!! I did hear that Steve Penny is comtimplating a return to the Thunder Car division in 08. If true the 2004 track champ becomes an instant contender in my eyes!!! Also think St.Onge is coming back to drive now that he no longer has anything to do with ownership!! Wouldnt suprise me to see him go to Late Model with Darryl still manning the Thunder Car. If half of what I'm hearing is true we could have a huge field of Thunders next season with as many as 30 on any given night with half those being Next Gen cars. Isherwood should have his car done as well and I am looking forward to seeing him in that class, as I think hes a darn good lil driver in his own right!! I am worried about the future of the LLM class at Barrie as we are getting approx 14- 16 cars now and who knows what that # could reduce/increase to in the off season!! I for one will not be returning to Barrie next year unless something is done to help in this regard. I do enjoy watching the other classes but I'm there to watch Late Model racing and without a strong field in that class in think I could be finding myself a new hometrack/series next season.(But dont worry my fellow High Line supporters it WONT be the DUMP ON THER HUMP in Innisfil!!!LOL) I think increasing the payouts in all classes is the best solution to improve the car counts and only hope this is something the new owners have on the radar for 08.
