Well this is Kahnefreaks report on the Pure Stock feature!
Our very own Thayne Halliburton took the green on the pole but as he was going down the back stretch on lap 1 it looked as though he was having some sort of motor issue and this stacked up the field pretty good. There was an early caution caused by Brandon Watson turning the 25 car of Mcminn coming out of corner 4. Mcminn was unable to continue as he began experiencing fuel pump issues. When the incident occured the field stacked up and Dave Crumbie ran into the 55 car causing some rear damage to the back bumper of our very own Shawn Monette! Monette came into the pits and got fixed up as Thayne Haliburton pulled off the track as it looked as though the motor issues became terminal!
On the restart Brandon Watson pulled out to the lead as others battled in behind the pack! The race would get tight at the front as Tom milligan and Brandon Crumbie came towards the front of the pack trying to battle it out with young Watson.
Caution would fly again just past the midway point of the race as Mitch Casey would get spun in corner 4 by Dave Crumbie. Mitch Casey would tag onto the back of the field. Watson still up front with Milligan right on his bumper. Yet another Caution would fly late in the race as Johnny Crossman would spin setting up a green white checkered finish. Milligan tried in the closing laps to get under Watson but Watson slammed the door numerous times and coming across the finish line it was Watson, Milligan then Crumbie! Monette a charger driver would finish a respectful 10th in battling with the "A" disvision cars.
yea, I blew a lifter APART, torched the cam...not a good deal...lol....good race and congrats to Brandon Watson.
