You are correct! Tribe isnt a bad word, unless it is used in a derogatory way, which in that one post it was. Do you think a native would be offended if it was said to them in the way that it was illustrated in my post. I think they would.

I dont need a history lesson on where you think the term firwater came from. Its all on how it is used, when referrring to natives and using this term they way it was used was not right. If you see a native somewhere ask go ask them if they enjoy firewater, and wait for the response. Im pretty sure they will find it offensive, and with good reason.

I need not embrace anything, it was offensive, and a National Forum should not be allowing those terms. Yeah the post was from a while ago, but its still in the forum, that was my concern.
As for my Esc key, next time try Alt+F4, Esc doesnt do anything =)

Dont get me wrong I enjoy the forums a great deal. I just think any type of comments like that can be kept out of the thread all together.

Windigo I would suggest to you that the person who used one of the terms you found offensive has a definate agenda in making people very upset. Most of us have had issue with her and traded insults once or twice with her. Maybe what she said was not in good taste, or politically correct but I sincerely doubt you will get any sort of admission from her saying she was wrong to say it. It just wouldn't happen. I won't apologize for her comments either, since I didn't make them, but I will say I am sorry if something on here made you uncomfortable. Most of us try to post with good taste in mind. The other comment I believe was made by a member who is now banned so you won't be getting an apology from him either. I think you may be looking for something which you cannot achieve.

Yeah Ive gone through some other posts, and saw that. I didnt mean to drag it on or anything.
I agree most of posts are great, and some good descriptions of races are on here. I like to read them and see the good ribbing, its great, and its a part of any good sport. As far as the Barrie Speedway goes, its a good track, and I see some great sportmanship going on there between the different teams.  🙂

it may seem odd to ppl, but we at BSW really fo get along rather well, all fo the bickering on here is usually caused by people with other allegiances coming into our forum and rasing some eybrows with unnnecessary comments.
