Windigo firewater is a term used for booze whisky or rum. Strong Alcohol. it looks to me for a first time poster you are starting here with your remarks below. Never wish bad on anyone as you have done below.
When people talk about a driver they are not talking about the sponsors. I can dislike a driver doesn't mean I'm against the sponsors cause.
I have looked at the post and I see nothing wrong with it.
#8 also helps the TaTa Trotters a group of women trying to raise money for breast cancer research, it’s a shame you have to put down the driver and sponsor trying to help this cause. I hope nobody in your family has to suffer from breast cancer.
good point CRO. I feel the same way about cup drivers and their sponsors. Just because I don't like a driver doesn't mean I have to dislike their sponsors product also
thinking back to this night! well it wasn't such a bad night at all for me. I got 2nd in my first heat. I won my second heat and I won the feature. Great night for me. But not a great night for the late model feature wreckfest that occured
Well it is disheartening to know that even an admin doesn’t know the racial connotations associated with the term "firewater" and how it was used in the past, and even now in the present.
As for wishing bad, I have not. I simply said that I hope that nobody has to have a family member suffer from breast cancer, in hope of helping them realize what a terrible disease it is, and to be cautious of how they comment on such things. As for disliking a driver, go ahead, its all part of the competition. I was simply stating that the racial comments can be left out, and as an admin they should be censored out or the contributors should be warned for that type of behavior.
Another example of that is Pincrests post # 10 on the "What happened to the credits" thread posted June 27 2007. The comment, "I have no doubt that I would get negative feedback for telling the truth about Ashley Taws or from the tribe at Rama Smoke and Moccasin for telling the truth about Lewis."
I mean come on, those types of comments can be left out.
since when is tribe a bad word, my tribe is my extended family, embrace your past do not hide from it. secondly firewater is not a white term, it is a native term and was used by the elders to note the dangers of booze. a little more realism and less political correctness might go along way in healing rifts. finally if you see something offensive on here i notice there is a escape button on my keyboard.
