in defence of Crum-B, i am going to say that he got suckered into a not so rational position by the other 3 ......

Remember when your mother asked you if your friends all jumped off a bridge would you jump too ?  enough said .

Historically when ever you put all the slow cars in there own class its always close. Interesting no but close yes.

Good luck to both Dave and Shawn. May the best man win!
Hopefully the winner will go down in history as the one and only  Barrie Speedway charger champion!

You know I wish people would give more credit to the charger drivers! We are racers just like anybody else! Were the Busch series to the "A" division!!! oh wait so let's get rid of the Busch series too!! geez... It's a plce for beginners or people who don't have tons of money! I won this year and what does that mean? that i never deserved it? What about all the first time winners, did thye deserve it? I think they all deserved it! doesn't matter how fast you are going, it's about the competition, and it's been great in this class!

The way you describe it , the charger class sounds more like the Special Olympics . You stated on here you have over $ 10,000 invested in your car that is more then many of the cars in Pure Stock .

joe what was your first race? what kind of class was it? was your ride handed to you or did you build/buy it your self? two points about entry level racing first it allows new people to get involved in the sport. second point do you really want a raw rookie with no setup experience not to mention the lack of driving experience to hop into a llm or slm or a oss. where due they pay their dues and gain the knowledge to do the right thing on the track. not all of us are pure naturals and have the ability to jump in and drive. only happens in the movie man. give it a rest.

My first race was not in cars but snowmobiles in the late 60s . They had a junior class for 12 to 16 yr olds and even though i was not even close to 12 my dad who had paid the huge price of $ 325 for my sled told me that those bigger guys put their pants on the same way as me and i could whip them . I ran third in a ten sled field at the age of 9 . The race was held at Snow Valley Ont under OSRF sanction  and when they held the trophy presentations that night i was a foot shorter then any other kid in the race . I had the biggist smile on my face of anyone that night because i knew i ran with the big dogs . Your a smart guy hill3 but you are part of the new Canadian mentality that thinks the losers should get a trophy for trying . Before they had things like the charger class we called it most improved or rookie of the year .

I would rather finish 7th in the top class then first in the , Your not fast enough to run with the big boys class.

well you have not read my earlier post then. first if i win give me that piece of plastic. second at this level of racing ,pure hobby, my toughest opponent is me. if i get all the car has and all that i have that nite i go home happy, if i leave anything on the track i am the first to beat myself. just a question is the problem you have with entry level racing or is it because there is two classes so close to each other?
