Yes hill3 I know what happens to runners when they burn too. I feel very uncomfortable about my level of protective wear right now. Believe me that will be one of the first changes prior to seasons opener for '08. Full triple layer custom nomex suit, boots and gloves are coming, but I made the decision to go with what I've got for the few races I am able to run this year. I like the runners for being able to feel the pedals, the runners, the hikers and my boots are all at least partly leather and that is not really good for fire resistance either. I have a little experience in this topic, through my employment. In my opinion (and please no one take this personally) quite a few racers neglect the safety aspect of racing equipment. I have one of the best race helmets available, and I'm not stopping there. It can be a dangerous sport, and you have to make the best effort to be safe...

thunder you may have a new thread to start.does the $400 i just came into go for safety or to make me go faster. i think to many of us(me too) think that it will not happen to them.
