The skies were threatening all day Saturday around Auto Clearing Motor
Speedway.  A late morning shower delayed practice sessions for the Big
Bore Drilling Super Truck Racing series.

When practice did get underway the track was fast and several trucks
were running in the high 14 second mark.  Thoughts were another track
record would fall today when the official time trials started, but that
would not happen as the best the #20 of Neil Fitzgerald from Wainwright
could muster out of his super truck was a 15.185 second lap.

Calgary’s Wade Lee, back piloting the #74 super truck after a couple of
years off picked up wins in both super truck heat races, while #20 of
Neil Fitzgerald was leading the Big Bore Drilling Super Trucks main
feature race when the skies let loose in the 44th lap of 100, canceling
the rest of the race show for the night.

Racing veteran Jim Barnsley has not been behind the wheel of a mini
stock for nearly four years, but he looked right at home Saturday as he
picked up the win in the Kreepy Kritterz Pest Control heat race with the
#41 mini stock.  The #95 of Robin Boomsma was back out in front at the
finish line for the mini stock qualifier race.

The FFUN Motor Group pro trucks had four different winners Saturday as
the #19 of Aaron Anderson took the win in the first heat, while the #15
of Andrew Hardy was first across the line in the second heat.  #18 Bill
Zubrecki took checkers in the first qualifier race and #49 Shantel Firth
picked up a win in the second qualifier.

As mentioned earlier the night was cut short by mother nature, meaning
the Kreepy Kritterz Pest Control mini stocks and the FFUN Motor Group
pro truck division did not get their feature races in.  Double features
will be scheduled for both divisions on a future race night.

Next week is the first race of the season for the Dakota Dunes Western
Canadian Super Late Model Championship Series.  Super Late models from
across Saskatchewan, Alberta and Montana are expected to descend on
Saskatoon next Saturday for the Dakota Dunes 150.  Prize monies of up to
$80,000.00 is available to drivers participating in the series.

Joining the Dakota Dunes series is the Brock Salvage Street Stock
division and the Earth Works Sask Legends Series.  Racing is Saturday
June 14, with the front gates opening at 4:30pm and the first green flag
at 6:05.  See you there!
