Montréal, QC – 2017-02-24 – Ten days after the announcement of continued activities under new management, four former Série ACT Champions and three rookie contenders have filed their official Série ACT full season entries.  Série ACT will visit Autodrome Montmagny, East of Quebec city, on 4 occasions and Autodrome St-Eustache, North of Montreal, on 2 occasions during the 2017 campaign.

The returning champions are: Québec’s Jean-François Déry, St-Denis-sur-Richelieu’s Patrick Laperle, Boischatel’s Donald Theetge and St-Edouard’s Dany Trépanier.  Meanwhile Laval’s Éric Gagnon, St-Jérôme’s Mathieu Kingsbury and Napierville’s 14-year old Jeremy Roy will be competing for rookie of the year honours.

Between them, these four former Champions have collected 8-Championship title honours.  Laperle tops the list with four Série ACT titles (2007, 2011, 2012 and 2016), Donald Theetge is a 2-time Série ACT Champion (2006 and 2009), while Dany Trépanier (2015) and Jean-François Déry (2013) have one each.

Éric Gagnon and Mathieu Kingsbury are graduating to Série ACT Late Model competition after having competed at Montréal’s Autodrome St-Eustache in the Sportsman ranks.

Jeremy Roy, the elder son of NASCAR Nationwide driver and multi-time DIRT Champion Martin Roy, while only 14 years old, has an already impressive karting experience with 2 Championship titles and 3 rookie-of-the-year titles (6.5, Robby Kart and Open).  In addition, his impressive racing resume includes racing on both asphalt and dirt in the REVSTAR STR class.

The 6-race Série ACT Late Model Tour Championship will kick off on Saturday, June 10 at Autodrome Montmagny.
