I hope a lot more "racers" head to Varney for invitationals etc, If Doug and his staff treat everyone like they did with the Pro Challenge Cars last week, then there is no reason not to go.....unless it comes down to pay out. They are running the deal like it is a US track, transponders, score board is great, reasonable pricing for food, pop and seems to want to have cars and people in the stands.....
not sure yet car is too slow...i lost mine back in the 80's and 90's there....probably just over the wall at turn 4..lol...many many stories.

#90 mini stock
>:( DUE to some unforseen circumstances i was unable to attend the races at varney on sun. just wondering how things went? good car counts, what happened? ::)
Billy Melenhorst won the terrible ministock feature. It only took 37 minutes to complete 15 laps. a mcclellan won the lm feature (surprise) and thats the only two i remember. had to leave before night was over due to it being after 11pm, 2 hour drive home, work early this morning. heat races were pretty good, SSS and SS features were pretty uneventful and were pretty good to watch. Lm feature had a wild start, with dan lawler almost writing the car off and somehow avoided the tire wall and came out unscathed.
Intermission and the mini stock feature really dragged the night out and a lot of people had vacated before the night was over.
