I have seen them try to run the mini trucks with the cars from Florida to Michigan on asphalt and no one has been able to make them work . Front end geometry , the CG and the roll center are all working against you with mini trucks on pavement . I suppose if someone really wants to try building one why not let them as long as they get the bumper height to match up with the cars . Rather then worrying about letting uncompetitive trucks into the class i think Varney would be better off joining the 21st century and every other track in Ontario and let 16 valve cars in .
I think we will save the 16 valve stuff for another topic for now.
i built an s10 and it was a hoot to race against the cars the couple of times we had it out...but...the last year they ran the cars and the trucks together at humberstone i demolished my dodge shelby when i hit a ford ranger right on the end of the bumper...i have hit the wall straight on full tilt at flamboro 4 times, twice in somes oil and once my throttle stuck and once i got pushed...and hitting that ranger was the worst hit i've ever took....so if i was racing a car there i would say no...unless i raced that volvo.
They'd be pretty hard to see around/through too wouldnt they?
Probaly easier to see through than a CRX. I'm sure you will have to lower it a bit to get down to ride height and line the bumpers up so I can't really see that being an issue.
