still spitting 5 min from the track...there is a gap in the radar but then there is a bigger batch coming.....
Well Joe if it's called load up the cooler and head up here, we gonna BBQ and get a belly full of beer...!!!
I am sad to say it, but in all honestly, out of the 3 rainouts we've experenced, none of them were worth it, and today, should be a rainout becuase with this amouth of water, like come on... This kind of rain, from 10 am to into tonight like this should call for a rainout. The last two should've never been called as a rainout.
Of course, Wes will wait today out becuase he's probably had enough of our betchin' and complainin' and has finally gotten it through his head that he should've never called those other days and a day like this shouldn't be waited for.
Yeah a break in the weather means most of us will waste the gas to go up there, pay admission and then it'll dump on us all over again. After all this, I am not in the mood. =/
Honestly, It's going to suck for me isnce I am in the infeild where NOTHING is paved, it's going to yucky and muddy and my firesuit is going to get dirty. (harhar!)
But Seriously, it gets pretty muddy down there too, you regular pit guys are lucky he paved out there. Now what about us infeilders? What will Wes do for us?
I'm as upset about the rain as anybody but I can see why wes had called the 2 previous races. From a business perspective i'm sure he would have lost a lot more money running than calling it because there would probably be no one in the stands. That being said if it rains out today i cant race next week its going to be 6 weeks between racing and that really sucks
maybe if some other tracks rain and sunset runs, they will get more cars and more fans will show.....waiting till the last minute never really was a bad idea anyways.....calling it too early can make people mad and calling it too late can as well.......i guess it's tough being an owner, and a racer with rain in the forecast....but it doesn't hurt to wait till race time to make a decision. unless it is pouring an hour before with no signs of letting up and the track being a complete wash with no humidity expected to dry the track.....were not weather forecasters and even if we were we would not always be right.......let's give the owners a break as they do try there best even if you think they don't.....seems Wes has tried to improve things and that is much more then i can say for Barrie this year. Thumbs up to Wes.
