Maybe I'm wrong Brendan but I thought it was '02 or '03. Could be my bad.

While some people (like myself) find Tom Walters to be an entertaining driver and an asset to anyone's racing program, I believe that there may be some truth to what people are saying about Tom moving about. I totally understand that he is upset about the multi car wreck last year, but it happened, and everyone was involved, maybe 5 cars of 19 escaped that carnage. He wants to win, and he wasn't winning, and he has left in the middle of the season before, without being in a bad wreck. As to the Showstopper I think it was felt he was not deliberate in his actions, meaning I don't think it was his intent to take out the field, and he has been there a long time. I don't think there was many incidents involving the 8 after that either.

Not Sunset bashing (as most people understand I don't engage in), just putting in my .02  ;D

And yes Sleepy good natured rivalry is good, co-operation and respect is even better.

I can honestly say that i dont ever remember tom leaving any speedway other than barrie last year, which with the cost of racing and fixing the race cars on a weekly basis i dont think anyone would bash him for feeling the way he did after that big wreck night caused 100% by showstopper.

Didn't Tom leave for a short time (2 weeks) the year Dave Bartlett won the points at Sunset. I think he went to PERERBOROUGH .

I think that if he stays at sunset, it will be more of a chalenge. I don't know of anyone at Kawartha or Barrie that is much quicker than Chris Morrow, and beating him would be a real accomplishment.
