I know that alot of people do care about that track...and proved it on Saturday when they were driving around the track in there street cars to dry it off or attempt to show Wes that they wanna race.

He just needs to understand, that track means alot to alot of people, and if he cares about it as much as he states hes does, then maybe he should show it. Put some time into a race night, not asking him to go out and spend tons of money on how it looks, thats for off season to make the track pretty again, im talking getting threw the night when you can race...waiting to call it till Seven when racing is suppose to start!!

Just like the drivers fans are loyal...he should just believe that the track will hold to its history, and the fans will be there.

Wes needs to have a little more Faith in the track...or let someone who does, to take over 🙂

I showed up on Saturday just in time to find out that racing had been canceled for the night! Wes told us that he would wait half an hour and then 5 min later he had already called it saying that fans would not show up. Some people stuck around and talked for a while and told me that the fans that were showing up at 7 - 7:30 was crazy. Maybe next time wes calls it he should hang around till race time and see all the fans showing up and leaving in dissapointment.

As I sat in the parkinglot waiting to see what was going on (or at least until the rain stopped...) I watched the blue skies coming south as the rain came down above us. Yep, things should've been waited out. A truck with 5 or 6 people parked next to me and they got out, by this time cars were leaving the pits and one lady said "Is it rained out again?! I am not coming back to this place, this is ridiculous." It's not even that disappointed fans are just leaving for one night, I am sure that more than one are thinking that same thing as that lady and not wanting to come back. =(

I'd take the lead on this one guys, and get a drivers rep. to speak for you all.

Reading between the lines here, I would say your track is in finacial difficulty. As we all must admit in fairness to any track owner, if it looks like rain, you are going to get less fans. Less fans may not cover the purse, and cosidering the track didn't have reserves to buy tires, I sugest your purse might be the real reason it got cancelled.

I'd sugest on a questionable rain night, if there are under X number of fans that come out, the purse is 1/2 or something like that. As a driver I would be for that, if I got to run, and to make sure there is a place to run for next year...

I mean you can do the math yourself, 300 fans at $15 is $4,500, not much to cover anything... So you can see a tracks problems..

Cancelling isn't going to help the fan count. Running isn't going to help if its at a loss. Been a poor year for all of us...
