Well said wrenchspinner. I am sure the likes of a Ron Tracey, JR Reagan, Vic Parsons to name a few have also had conflicts with Tom and retaliated, just not to the same extreme. I am sure Baker was aiming to wreck his car, not him.

No one deserves to get injured on a race track, and Im pretty sure that wasnt Bakers intention.  That being said How may times has Walters wrecked cars that were in his way?  Sooner or later someone was gonna go after him.  If you are gonna drive rough like Walters sooner or later someone is gonna say enough is enough and retaliate.  Did he desrve to get injured and end up in the hospital? NO.  Did he desreve to get wrecked in retaliation for all the cars he has wrecked in the past? YEA!  I wish Tom a speedy recovery and I feel bad for him.  I hope to see him on a race track next year and I hope that when he returns he will change his driveing style so he is no longer the "target" of the angry drivers he has wrecked in the past.

Here's a little analogy for you folks that keep saying.."I'm sure Baker didn't mean to harm him....etc, etc."
A kid( #1) goes to school one day...and tells another kid( #2) to "go screw himself".  (there is a history of verbal conflicts prior)  Kid #2 decides he has had enough and goes through the day telling ppl that he is going to get Kid #1 at the end of school.  As #2 does what he says...he goes after kid #1 after school.  One punch to the face of kid #1 and the kid falls back....hits his head on the curb......and as a result....fractures his neck and is left a quadriplegic for the rest of his natural life.

Is Kid #2 held liable for this?  Did he intend to cause such severe injuries?  Did he know that, that one punch would change 2 lives forever, and not too mention the families involved?

So you sit here, and say things that you have no knowledge of.  You assume that one person didn't mean this or do that....but the only person that can answer for his or her intentions/actions is that one person.
I am not saying that he did or didn't mean to "harm" Walters, but 'premeditation' is exactly that!!  And no one can change the outcome of ones actions after they have completed that action.

In no way am I saying that the outcome of the analogy above, is the same outcome between Walters and Baker, but the facts of the case are the same.

When you premeditate about an action you want to take against someone....you can NEVER guarantee the consequences of your actions.
