Wow, did not ever remember seeing that paint scheme in any of the NASCAR schemes I've looked through. What year would that be?

Getting way OT here but oh well searched a few sites and a short description below.

1986-87 Goodwrench #8 Nova Bush Grand National Series: Dale drove this special #8 car, honouring the memory of his father, and (reportedly) won his second race at Daytona in the Grand National Division (the listed manufacturer for this Daytona race was Pontiac, not Chevy and this is a Chevy Nova). While GM Goodwrench Performance Parts are the main sponsor, Fischer Engineering and Wrangler also feature on the paint scheme. This is an attractive silver and black Chevy (Falcon's favourite colors).

I'm about 99% sure the actual car was a ventura, that's why it would be listed as pontiac, but the model company wouldn't bother changing the grill from there standard nova model

1985 #8 Mr Goodwrench

1985 #8 Mr Goodwrench / Chevrolet Nova
Chassis #
Original Driver: Dale Earnhardt
Current Driver: Gene Felton

#8 MR Goodwrench Chevrolet

Original Driver – Dale Earnhardt

Current Driver/Custodian – Gene Felton

Gene Felton, multi time IMSA Champion and the founder of the Historic Stock Car Race Series, waves the American flag with loud strokes as he blows the braces off the normally sedate, strawberry's and crème English crowd as he flies up Lord March's driveway during the 2006 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Gene's very historic NASCAR Nova was originally bodied as a Pontiac Ventura and ran with Wrangler sponsorship in the NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series which was the predecessor to the Busch Grand National Series. It is a 114+ inch wheelbase car which was later converted to the Nova configuration by Dale Earnhardt in 1984. Following the conversion the car scored victories at Charlotte, Darlington and Daytona as a Busch Grand National car with Dale sitting behind the wheel.

This is a very special ride and the car from Gene's stable which is most in demand by both the crowds at Goodwood and at tracks around the states.

And here is a picture from back in the day

There are a few other pictures of this car there also.
Sorry for highjacking the thread.
