Alan,

Never did I say that I worked in Donaldson's shop.  But now that you mentioned the Donaldson name I should have included Ken's name in my previous post.  Not only did Tom have the use of three of the best LLM cars in the province he had the knowledge, experience and help of the Donaldson's.  Tom had a great season and a big congrats to him and his team.  But I think Morrow's accomplishments this year running the same car to a LM championship on Friday nights and a second place finish on Saturday nights far out weigh Tom's season.

The car tom won with at kawartha and at barrie in the same season was just that the same car,one car only.

Here's a video of the 75 lapper. Not the best view, it's tough to find a good seat in the top row.

kmcloud, you are so right. when a brand new llm cost 50 grand we have a problem. i know there are some cars out there that cost that much but really a lot are 20 grand and down. the guys with big dollars to spend forgot that this division evolved from challenger class. it makes me wonder why some one would spend that on a llm when you could be running open late model. i see dan mchattie`s open late model for sale for 22 grand,so makes one wonder how you can spend 50 grand plus on a llm. promoters should be taking a look at this and there car counts. other than sunset and sauble, rest of tracks with llm`s had very small fields. just for laughs i priced out a brand new lefthander chassis with every component including body, turn key with a 602 crate in canadian dollars with all taxes included built to sunset rules , 26,000. far cry from fifty grand plus . and as far as tom walter`s, well you could put him out there in a wheelbarrow and he would still get to the front, you can not beat his experience and desire to win. congrats tom on another championship at sunset, hopefully see you at colours.

Well if you all can remember the beginning of the year.........Tom wasn't quite winning them all...and was having multiple issues with handling with the black car.  Seems it took him quite a few weeks to get the bugs out.  But what it really comes down to is EXPERIENCE!!!! And by his track record.....he does have that.  As for the price of the cars.......not everyone can afford that price.....but its up to the owner/driver to decide where he wants to finish in the pack.....without all the kinks to work through.  I say....bring on Autumn Colors.....so you old bitties will have more to bicker back and forth about  🙂
