rubbin is racing, bump and run is racing, but to maliciously and with premeditated though.....drive your car as a weapon into the side of someone else is just wrong in so many ways. Baker was at someone elses pit area last night and commented on the fact that they would be pickin pieces of Walters off the track. Baker's actions last night have defiantly brought a sour note to short track racing and to Sunset in my opinion.
For the record.........in all the time I have seen Walters race.......he has NEVER maliciously crashed anyone with the intent to due them harm.
I am not Baker or Walters fan what happened last night was uncalled for !! 240 you said its about time someone stands up to Walters, Baker did that a few weeks ago there was no need for the bs last night . A few other drivers have stood up to Tom by giving him a few taps or spinning him . None of them have slammed him into wall . There is one thing to make it known on the track that you are not happy but to intentionally slam a car into the wall knowing it could cause injury is wrong . When the crowd started to cheer it made me sick but those cheers sure did stop when they realized Tom was hurt . I don't know Baker but to me he doesn't have a heart . I wonder how he would of felt if he seen the little girl on Tom"s pit pad crying ?? I didn't see her but my daughter did and it broke her heart . All these Racers have family and friends that come to support them . All you guys bashing Tom have you thought about how his wife feels right now or how she is doing ?? Did she deserve to watch her husband go through this ?? Did his crew deserve it ? People need to remember that behind every Racer there is team , what you do to that racer you do to the team . So all you people praising Baker for what he did are also saying it was ok for him to hurt Tom's wife and put her through the hell of having stand on the other side of a fence wondering if her husband was ok !! It was ok for Baker to make a little girl cry !! Wake up people its not just about Tom allot of people were put through hell last night all because one guy took it way too far !!!
Well Pinky, I guess what your saying is, everytime Tom does something to someone else on the track he should think of there kids, there wives, there sponsors watching at the track...I doubt he does? No offense, but I don't race at Sunset, but i hope to next year...he is the only guy i have heard of that pulls shit on the track...sorry, just telling you what i have heard from the distance. And dont tell me everytime Tom wrecks someone he knows that how he is doing it...they wont get hurt...just that it is going to cost them lots of money?
Owe, and my favorite Tom story (this year anyways)...is how he tried to DQ his old car for having a cheater motor (the one he sold)...LOL...priceless!
It would be nice if all racers and fans remembered that there is other people involved but sadly they don't . I am just reminding people that it was not only Tom that got hurt last night . And to come on here and pretty much say he deserved to be slammed into the wall is BS . No racer deserves that , you want to be an ass on the track and spin someone go for it !. Last night was just wrong !!
Every driver that straps on a helmet runs the risk of getting hurt in a wreck. Every driver that makes a career out of wrecking guys to win championships and races increases those odds exponentially. I like Tommy and baker and believe they are both talented racers. I do believe that there was no intent for Tommy to get hurt, the only intent there was on bakers part was for Tommy to not finish the race so that he lost the championship. Baker I'm sure felt that Tommy took him out of the championship hunt a few weeks ago and felt it was right to return the favor. Anyone who thinks that baker did that with the intent to hurt Tommy shouldn't be allowed to enter a race track, cause they obviously don't understand racing. I really do hope Tommy is ok and that he will race again soon.
