I hate to do this but here it is...

Somewhere on this site should be a concise list of proper netiquette for a forum such as this. I have been involved in mail lists going back to when I logged on to Compuserve with my VIC 20. I did a search on the internet in hopes of finding a link but decided best to leave that alone in case some things don't apply here but as with most lists all netiquette is the same.

The above post was my main purpose for writing this message...

When quoting, be very careful to edit the quoted sections
down to the bare minimum of text needed to maintain the context for
your reply. There is very little on a mailing list that is more
annoying than paging through a few pages of quoted text only to read a
few lines at the end. Also be careful that you clearly indicate what
text you're quoting (as opposed to what you're writing), and if
possible, cite the author of the original text.

The other one that comes to mind which is a big big no no is forwarding a private message on a public forum for others to read. This usually results in a automatic ban.

Sorry don't want to come off like Miss Manners but I keep seeing 4 pages worth of quotes show up with comments that follow like.. Amen, I agree, For sure, Yeah I agree etc.

*Whew*  Thank you so much JT!!  I couldn't find a polite way to post what you're saying!  Here is a thread started a while back along the same lines. http://www.canadianracingonline.com/smf/index.php?topic=8083.0
