i heard the spira 4 cyl. # 86 Billy Schartsenburg, for a carb.

The carb was brand new out of the box.  Tech said that ports in the metering block were drilled out and too large. Once they got the specs from Holley they were infact the correct size.

The original dq was rescinded due to the fact that once the track had the correct measurements from Holley it was in fact a legal stock out of the box 350 purchased two weeks earlier from Guelph auto parts and had not had the metering holes drilled in any fasion.. the race was sponsored by Spira fire protection so ken felt best that the 3 great drivers awarded the top 3 and top 3 money still receive the correct amount.  It was best that the extra monies involved which was $54 additional dollars per driver spread evenly through tout the 34 car field. Also what better mix of great drivers to revive the Spira fire protection trophies than sauble hot shoe Kevin bridge, sunset star and points leader warren Paxton and 14yr sensation Brandon mcferran. The list of mini stck drivers read like who's who of the division you through bailey, butler, Hartman and few others and it would have read like an all star race. For me the biggest disappointment of the nite was not having corey young compete in the feature do to mechanical failure and the damage sustained to some drivers especially those who made the long trip from sunset. Allin all the home and home series's armed to be a success for both the fans and alike.

Been a good year for the Spira team and a children's wish fund of Guelph which receives every cent of race winnings from the 86 race team which is already approaching 3000 for the season to this point.

I think it would be great to ru this home and home event next year and possibly add a third track for the at least he mini stock division.

so...because spira sponsored the race the DQ was cancelled because all the winnings go to charity?
