Bottom line is if it took more than 4 to 5 hours to do that, he is in over his head..............
....... then the better part of Tuesday doing photos.

Sorry SS, but this does not make sense. You are saying that that it took you the better part of Tuesday to do the photo's, and yet you expect Steve to have designed and programmed the site from scratch, have current points, and a ton of photos in four or five hours, (or he is in over his head) The truth is , that he is doing this site for next to nothing, he has a successful computer business, a wife and four kids, so you had better get used to the fact that he won't be spending 20 hours a week on this. I am sure that if he invested that kind of time into this site, then it would be every bit as good as it was in the "glory days".

That's the pee in the pool right there. Once you hit that point where you don't feel appreciated then you start to not care and it shows. Unfortunately the people in charge either choose to look the other way or decide that cheap or free labour is worth living with somebody that is unhappy.

I have been a business owner for decades and I found myself doing that and have learned the hard way if somebody is not happy you will get unhappy results.

Back to the website and how to make things happy. Maybe Wes has chosen the wrong man for the job but if it is cheap enough it is worth it. Maybe Wes has chosen the right man but has now hit a wall with having to please too many people and wishes he never started this in the first place. Either way things will never get better once you have peed in the pool.

Actually this statement makes a lot less "sense" than what I said.  None of us said that.

You are missing the point.  What I'm saying is if the product we currently see took more than 4 or 5 hours, then YES he is in over his head.  There was a lot of hype here about how great it was going to be and it took a long time to happen, so the expectation was pretty high.  That's the problem - if people would have come on here and said "it is a work in progress and will get better" then you wouldn't have as much criticism.

By the looks of things it is obvious he won't be spending 20 hours a week on it.  (That's just the way I chose to do it.)  And that's fine.  But if he gets his spelling cleaned up and the information correct and it stays up to date, then (as I said before) I'll congratulate him then.  But right now it looks worse than what was up before, just maybe slightly more up to date.

Just thought it was worth mentioning that it is now Monday June 30th, 1129h, and the website says "Saturday night June 28th catch the Late Models, Thunder Cars, Road Runners, Four Funs, and Spectator Races".  Looks like you guys are waaaay better off now.  ::)

And apparently a "shedule" is the opposite of a "hedule".  Had to ask around at Church and Wellesley for that.  8)
