I am disappointed it is soo ugly as well....I figured it wld be nicer...BUT like was said above, let's give her a month..
Well at least it is there...
Personally not impressed, but I am a web designer and my standards for my own work are normally much higher than my customers expect, so don't slam me for my opinion. At best what was done is 4 hours worth of work even for a rookie. Not knocking the guy but I hope Wes didn't pay much more than 3 or 4 hundred bucks for it.
At least it is done and the points will be posted as well the results it is sure a step in the right direction, and lots of pictures posted which is cool.
And before he starts on the driver pages for the other three classes he's gonna have to learn how the word "sponsor" is spelled. Yeah, I know, spelling doesn't seem to be taught in school these days but could you imagine if a flyer from Rogers came to your house with spelling mistakes like that? Username is right - for something that took a long time to produce it isn't much of an improvement.
And I don't know what server they're on now but it's slower 'n sh** to load...

I think that the reason that Steve went with pdf was to make it easy to update, so the track and him use the same format, and work does not have to be done twice over. I can tell you that designing the site from scratch, updating all of the drivers with photos, and sponsors etc took allot more than "4 or 5 hours" and the reason that all that info is not posted yet is because he only got all of the info he needed last night! Very sorry that not everyone is pleased but I can guarantee that he will update it weekly as soon as he has the info from the track.
Here is a scaled down logo for the top left corner silverstone, maybe you could e-mail it to him he used the full size image and let the frame scale it thats why it is all distorted and fuzzy looking.

I do know it is a lot of work I am not trying to belittle the guy, what is up there now IS only 4 or 5 hours worth of work and I am sure he would agree, the work he has ahead of him, updating profiles etc is going to take some time. I am sure it will be updated like Tom's is regularly and thats awesome, that in itself is a huge improvement over the last couple of years.
We just expected a little more eye candy with all the hype about the NEW site.
Here are two sites I just finished both "one off designs" very simple and clean and all original designs by me.
I do know how much time it takes, I work 12 hour days with cars and do this in my spare time just for fun.
Criticise them if you like you wont hurt my feelings, but I do have a little insight into the amount of work it takes.

I am proud to tell people I race at Sunset as I am sure most people in here take a lot of pride in their home tracks, I just want to see a site and content that reflects the atmosphere at the track and attitude of the Staff and the drivers at SS they deserve it, spelling errors, distorted graphics, and things that provoke browser errors on the site are unacceptable IMO.
If the majority of people could care less and are happy with substandard work so be it.
