It is a relatively easy fix, unless this is the problem with the owner of the domain. All that needs to happen is a request is sent to the registered owner of the domain sunsetspeedway.ca to allow a change in the main admin/owner contact info of the domain. Once that is authorized they can have the ftp info changed and or the site moved and the DNS pointed elsewhere. Glenn does not own the domain. It is actually quite suprising who still does.

I edited out the phone numbers etc. but they are available to anyone.
It looks as though it was updated beginning of May, so who knows what the deal is.
All it would take is Carol to authorize the domain change request and it would be done.
They may have already done that, it does take a couple of days if everything is ok.
Somebody obviously has the ftp info as they did post point and stats.
You're right Matt, it is an easy fix. But for the very reason you've posted it'll take a bit to get it changed. Technically it has nothing to do with Glenn at all.
And damn Moniker has the .com URL locked up (used to be a track named Sunset in Kansas IIRC until the website ran out). They said they'd give it up...for 15 grand. Jeezuz...whatever!

LOL I was just looking at the same thing..

It expires on August 29, I am a member of the CIRA so I have added it to my watch list, if they miss the boat and do not renew it on time I will own it August 30th and give the damn thing to Wes.lol
Highly unlikely but I added it anyway.

Just for the record, when Glenn purchased the Speedway from my parents, he had requested that the domain name be added to the sale, so with no resistance from my parents it was added to the deal.......Glenn said he would take care of having everything switched. The domain was set up by the person who did the website for the speedway when we owned it, it was not done by us and none of us are computer friendly enough to figure out how to get the info changed as glenn has obviously not followed through. So, Matt, any help would be great! 🙂
If the DNS had been changed over the last few years your Mom would have had to authorize it as she is the registered contact. It will be entirely up to Wes now or his web designer, all they have to do is submit a request to the registrar which in this case is "DomainsCanada.ca Inc" to have that contact info changed and the DNS numbers to point to the server of their choice. The request will go to your mom first at the contact e-mail in that info or by phone. Once she authorizes the change it is all theirs. Pretty simple but it does take a couple of days.
Stephen, the guy that does Stompin' Tom's site owns his own computer, parts, web design business, he will know how to deal with all that. If in fact he is taking over the SS site.
Shouldn't be a big deal.
I think the biggest problem they are having is not all of that now, it is juts getting accurate info by the looks of it.
It really won't affect your mom at all other than if DNS changes are made she has to ok it if they don't get it changed over.
