This response from Tom and Anne is in regards to a points problem they claim for Chris on or about June 28th. I have verified all the numbers and there is nothing to discuss.
So therefore Chris is the champ? Or is this still under discussion?
on a positive note, and i understand peoples frustrations. barrie started off pretty tough and the people who bought it knew absolutely nothing of running a track and even dealing with us racers, and you have to admit we're not your run of the mill sport enthusiasts. every week they tried to correct their mistakes and i'm sure next year will be stellar. wes took over into the season and when people are used to being governed in a certain manner and then the governing body changes, it takes time to adjust on both ends. relationships aren't born over night and i'm sure wes and the gang will do the right thing. we all need barrie and sunset and peterborough....etc etc. it is our life and when they are gone they are gone. the tree huggers will never allow another speedway to be built, so lets hold on to what we have and try to work TOGETHER to keep our sport alive and kicking for generations to come! just trying to put this all in perspective and put a positive spin on things.

And Evan, Bill is right. Although he's only been here 6 days, it does give a perspective to all those new to here, and are the guests in the background are thinking. As much as I hate to say it, maybe it is time to put a lid on it, and delete those post with outrageous claims, negative thoughts (without any postive comment for improvement) and outright personal attacks, that do nothing more than hurt racing as a whole. And it is just a select few...
Giving a day for the whole points question here to cool down might be the smartest idea for all those involved. The who said what, who threatened who, is all emotion talking and not reason. the results aren't going to change. Another unforuntate example of using a forum to create more of a mess than it solves..
Evan you are right : We are diehard race fans , loyal fans to our drivers , drivers place all their spare time and efforts into giving us our weekly show . Without drivers and fans , the show wouldn't exist because Sponsors need us all together . We don't ask for much , but a fair judgement call on Tom and his Championship call . Nobody is being threatened at any time and people like the new Big Bill stir us up and expect us to sit back and take it . If Chris Morrow won fair and square , so be it . I think the complications occurred with the ownership change during mid season . All I ask is please fix your errors at the track . We as fans are very frustrated to say the least !...Thanks !
