Environment Canada has nearly live radar available online for free 24/7 for the entire country. The lag of the data to the public site is only 10 mins and the range is 300 km or more with overlapping radar stations across the system. The scenario of this rainout call being made too soon is getting kind of lame. Anyone can access this service and it might well allow this kind of thing to be avoided from time to time if track people would utilize it, but it seems they do not for whatever reason. It would help all the way around. In this age of go-anywhere internet there is little excuse.
