Had a blast at sunset. Dad did well tonight getting a 7th and a 4th in the features after starting 21st and 18th. Not a bad night at all. It was awesome to see dad and Herb Walters battle side by side for what seemed like half the 2nd feature. They ran each other clean. Dad said they didn't touch each other once on the track. Top notch great caliber racing. If dad still has the car, he'll be back to race again at Sunset next week.

I took some pictures of the thundercars and 4 cylinders practicing. I will post a link to view them after the weekend.
WOW!!!! Mo won both features????? Looks like that Sunset battle might not be over yet!!!! I god forbid I say this, MIGHT just attend that god forsaken hell hole next week just to watch that happen!!! Am I sick??? Just might think so!!! Might be nice to see some of my long time Sunset friends again, but goes against my better judgement!!!!!!!LOL So can someone phone me from the track????? But again Sunset has SPENCER LEWIS, and couldnt even hear him at KD Fri night, but would really like to hear how he calls a race( for the first time). God is that sound system at the Downs is brutal!!!! They should call Sauble or Oshweken and see what they have goin on for speakers in my opinion. Those are the best two tracks for sound system that I have seen so far.

I think walters finished 12th in the first feature after heavy damage to his car and 4th in the 2nd feature after more heavy damage making his car look like an open wheel modified. I think he won at least 2 heat races though.Thunder car feature was simply vantastic with the check casher herb walters doing everything possible except dump the 23 of paul maltese.Came down to a photo finish with both drivers stopped at the finish line after the race as they, i assume looked at the video.Paul maltese declared the winner by a hair.Great gesture by herb to congratulate the 23 afterwards.
