Just a little note from my end. The 44 of Steve Laking was involved in a very violent wreck destroying the rear clip, and lots of other damage to the car during the grisdale race on saturday. His crew, friends, Jr, and Sponsors stepped up and rebuilt the car from Sunday morning until late Tuesday. The effort was incredible and to accomplish even a 5th place finish must have felt  like a Victory as going into the race Steve had no idea what he had.

Congrats to Steve Laking for a job well done.

Agreed Gary, a huge step back. When the best LMs in the province are getting spanked by LLMs at the big shows something is wrong.

slowel...sorry, I should have been more clear, I knew you what you meant, I was referring to others in the pits  who justified what happened, referring to some of Ontario's best not being able to complete because they missed the set up.
What's bad is if they don't return for the next show.  It's on the schedule, it a has a major sponsor but also a major problem.  It can be fixed and I hope it will be and it's not just the winner there are a few cars over the top.

I saw elsewhere that Jamie Cox finished 5th.
Were there problems with scoring, or was there an issue in tech?

Website has Cox finishing fifth, Derek. I guess there was a scoring problem 'cause they put Laking (44) in sixth.

There was no issues with the scoring, just the fact that his transponder fell off during the race and was on the track up in corner 2-3 for the race, therefore he would not be shown on the board.
