Is it public knowledge who are the owners of the Speedway? Curious I guess, especially since it's mentioned one is involved with construction or concrete and I know quite a few people in that field. If it's public please share. Thanks.

it's very rare that this is the case, plus a pit cart would consists usually of your tape, sawsall things of that nature and if u wreck in a heat you need this...plus my pit tires are usually my tires from my heat races....maybe its just me but i know I couldnt do that.

Common Sense 101:
#1: If your going to rebuild a race track....
make sure it has a pit road for future plans and events.
#2: A pit road is a safer place to be in when you have to fix the car.  Racers that compete at tracks without pit roads use the outside pit for the same repairs, although travelling threw a bad lite behind the wall pit at stupid speeds could kill any fan that is walking around and not paying attention.
#3: A pit cart or crash cart doesn't need to be of Cup caliber...You can buy used boxes from $500.00 up to brand new boxes that start out around $2500.00.

I think it's great to see tracks like Sunset refurbish themselves.
It's a huge cost but a move in the right direction, and guys like Mark Dilley know what attracts racers, sponsors, series and media.
Although many will complain, as racers do, several others will see the benefits to making the show more professional.

The NHL use to play in outside arena's and players would sit in the snow banks when not on ice.
Now, they sit on benches in multimillion dollar arena's.. the game is the same...but now a little more professional, and that has made it survive !!

I would hope that more people take a look at Sunset and realize, this is what's to come for the future of racing in Canada.
Without bold moves on rebuilding speedways the sport in this country could become food for moth balls, and by no means is that the direction racers and fans need to take.
