Yes it probably will Ernie ( if that's you).. You are a class act my friend, and damn good driver to boot.. I know in my Dad's many years of flagging at Sunset he always raved how sportmanlike you were.. I know I had a brief chat with you when you came up to the Barrie year ender that one year (05-06 ish) and you seem like a great guy.. Good luck this year, hope you can come close to that top 5 point finish you had in 09,although it looks to be tougher sleddin this season.. 😉 Nice to hear transponders are on the way they will make life simpler for scorers especially in Mini's. That must be a nightmare to keep track of.. And how can you go wrong with error free scoring???

seems like there is some discussion on the lapped cars on restarts starting where they are in line and not being put to the back. Just wanted to give my opinion. I am not a fan of it at all. Baker was in 2nd and lost a spot due to it on a restart. Then he got stuck behind the 10 car again and jumped on him. Isn't the rule if you make up a position by jumping a start or restart that you get docked a spot or 2? Baker didn't make up a spot, but was still penalized. I think lapped down cars should not play a role when the lead lapped cars are battling for position. Probably the only thing all night that disturbed me was Baker losing 2 spots due to the lapped car. Not just because I am a Baker fan but because it makes no sense. But other then that it was a good night. I too agree with Blkflagagain there should have been some kind of inversion to spice up the lead battles. Don't get me wrong, I am not downing the track. I love the place just wanted to give my opinion and I hope it's respected.

On the record again, just like last year I will state that I hate the 1,2,3 then double stack lineup.  I will also restate that I hate that lap cars can determine outcomes like they did last night.  I get the concept, but passing a slow car under green is not the same as on a restart with the cars are part of the single line up.  There, my 2 cents again about it! lol

Kahne, I believe the rule for the Baker situation is that you cannot jump the start period, not just if you can a spot.  Not sure though.  However, Baker was 4th on the inside of Walters who was fifth.  The lapped car was in the "third" position.  On the restart he jumped underneath the 10 car splittin Walters to the top side.  Technically I guess he gained a spot in line but not in position.  I have no idea if that counts or not.

Either way, NO MORE 1,2,3 double ups please!!!!  It's my only complaint...well that and they don't race 4 nights a week! hahaha.  Double up restarts is the way to go, even NASCAR has proven that.  Lapped cars to the back where you belong and let the big boys go at it!

your probably right about the Baker deal. He did gain track position even if it was not a position in the running order. I too agree double file restarts all race every race. Makes it way more exciting for the fans and that's why we race, for the fans.

I will state my belief again and I was sittin right in turn 3.. Baker didnt jump that start whatsoever from my perspective but maybe the injustice was he dove to the inside of the lapper instead of the outside?? But cant see that being the case cause once the leader takes off I would consider that to be an "open racetrack". But being an official or corner man isnt easy and in fact can be a pretty thankless job.. But line ups were prompt all night and officiating was fair for the most part.. Cant pick up on everything and Baker can get em next time.
