Glad to here it was a good night at Sunset.

Well they were all Barrie cars at one time and point Chris!!LOL But if you mean cars that have raced Barrie last week there was the 51 of William Davies and the 16 of Penny in PS, although Penny had issues and didnt run but a few laps in the 1st heat for him. Thunders there was Kenny and Donny.. Think Donny is making the switch as he has Sunset decals on the car now.. And in LLM there were both Inglis' and Ron Quesnelle. Al Inglis won a heat and had a pretty good run in the feature, was in top 5 most of the race then faded to maybe 8th if I was guessin.

They need to do something about the restart rule there in that I didnt really notcie any uniformity in where guys were taking off from on restarts. If its the line in turn 3 thats fine but alot of pole cars really took off from the outside pole sitter.. The pole sitter/top qualifier won every feature so I would of liked to see a small inversion. Leaving lapped cars in the mix on restarts creats havoc in my own opinion and did lessen the racing from how good it could of been.. I understand the principal behind it "If the leader has to pass a lapper under race conditions why shouldnt the 2nd and 3rd place have to do the same???" But as I say it creates havoc.. After watching tonight I'm a bigger fan of double file as opposed to 1-2-3 then double up that's for sure.. And for the record I'm not bitchin about ANYTHING just adding my opinions on what could of made for some better racing.

Did notice that on one of the restarts in the late model feature that Dwayne Baker jumped the start and was penalized one spot.                           

Another great night of racing!  As I stood in the pits after the race tonight under a starry sky, the sights and sounds reminded me of being a child at the track.  The pits were full of cars, trailers, laughter, kids were getting autographs from drivers.  Everyone I looked at was smiling, there was just this overall feeling of comfort and enjoyment.  I'm so looking forward to tomorrow's race, this is what we've been missing, real positive anticipation.  I'm planning to get there early, I think it'll be a full house.  First class show right in my backyard - could there be anything better?  Great work Sunset owners, management, and staff.  I feel like a kid again!

Ya but TOWER Baker wouldnt of had to jump without the lapped #10 in the mix. And he started pretty close to that restart line in 3 and thats the corner I was sittin.. Not really a one spot penalty when you figure Walters would of blew by him on the outside anyways because Baker who was 3rd at the time had the 10 to deal with on the inside while Tommy who was 4th at the time of the caution had free reign on the outside.. Now I understand that can work for you and against you depending on circumstance but why not remove the lappers and send em to the rear??? Problem solved!!LOL
