Hey Ross, run a track...I think u may have trbl getting a car count..ur telling everyone else to well i say ur ideas are bullshit on how to run a racetrack, u need to please racers to get cars first and foremost changing the shedule as u seem to think is okay at the last minute is a good way to lose cars!
As a died in the wool race fan, I was almost convinced by your very accurate weather perdictions, and you business savvy. so I got in my car and drove back up to Sunset. AND GUESS WHAT, it was raining so hard I missed the driveway and had to turn around. the place looks like a tornado had gone through. water everywhere. and not a race fan in sight! dam I was so wishing that there might have been a fan or two there that I could discuss this with, but no one there.
So as far as weather predictors, you failed miserably.

Sure yah tonight was a total wash-out, but he could've tried to run Sunday. Ever thought of that?
Its sucks, but using Tom as an example "30 years racing, 25 Championships, 1 great career". Looks like he won't get his 26th here, but does that really change the above statement in any meaningful way?
If you look closely Ross , the Walters logo is a signature attached to my name ! Unlike others I don't plan on waisting my time with you , its mindless and completely pointless. You seem to have to get in the final word on everyone . You must sit here 24/7 ready to jump in and save Wes . You are not a Sunset regular so you should be making comments where you race ( Friday nights ) . This track or its regulars are clearly not an issue for you to carry on about . Wes is a big boy , he wants to come in and buy the local home track , that's cool ! But make it a place for racers to drive and their fans to come and show their appreciation and enjoy. By the way its Sunday morning and a beautiful clear sky in the area . Russ , we want what was promised to us in the begining A RAINOUT DATE TO-DAY !

Certainly another way to look at it... Cept "making the drivers happy" and running to tonight means you just lost your shirt, as already stated.
Run it tomorrow, as Mosport found out in the past, and why they won't do it again, running Sunday, you don't get any fans. Again Barrie proved it with 1/2 the turnout on Sunday as a saterday. So you just lost your shirt again.
Plus you run it Sunday, you are going to have a few other drivers b$$%#^ing, because they work Sundays (remeber night shifts start Sunday afternoon), or have other plans and can't make it that day. Loose your shirt plus upset your drivers, as you put it.
The small few that cry about a rain day, and go away, will find the same thing at every other track. So what they leave and go to Peterborough? Hmmm cancelled to. So they will just bounce around from track to track getting pissed off, because if you really take a rain day all that hard, you simply can't make a person like that happy. Think Sunset has the least number of cancellations this year, other than Sauble, and you still can't make them happy.
That just a bunch of bull too?
