Oh, so you're saying he just cares about the $$$ and not the drivers????

Its a business Lady. If money didn't matter, I'd buy you are brand new LLM 😉

Looking at it the other way, what if he said he'd run it without a purse... You guys just care about $$$ 😉

We had 900 ppl come in the front gate Ross, not 50, usually there are 2 times more ppl there like the sat. night prior, i thought it woulda been crazy Sunday but hey, I guesse race fans dont see the amazing racing in the thunders that we the racers see...

Like I said attendace was down for a Sunday... Could that been what Wes saw, and thats why there isn't a Sunday date at sunset??? Sucks yeah, but its not reasonable to expect him to run the race out of pocket...

Also working with 900 fans (must be the stands then, that place has enough seat it really eats them up) times 14 bucks each that only $12,600. That dosn't cover the thunder invitational purse, let alone other expenses of the track..... So Sunset, working with only 1/2 the regualar number of fans.......... you figure it out......

The back gate was the usual, plus u guys paid 25 bucks to get in, and the sponsors for the event paid for the purse, plus the food, the track did fairly well...i think sunset's max is 900 ppl....we have seating for 8000+

Some people wouldn't have cared about the money - they'd just care about the points.

first of all thayne is right, the sponsors of the invitational paid the whole purse= nice profit. there are fans who enjoy watching certain divisions, contrary to popular belief late models still draw alot of fans. i agree sundays aren't going to get saturday crowds, BUT if wes did run all divisions tomorrow, i'm sure he would cover expenses. who in ontario wouldn't pay to see a walters-morrow shootout for all the marbles. the rain is pouring here at 6:40pm so wes made the right decision, i guess he's not as dumb as people think. on the other hand he definately should have ran the races tomorrow. these championships HAVE to be settled on the track. ross, i felt you were insulting the event at barrie and the fans of ours, by saying 50 people, thats saying our fans don't care.  our loyal fans showed up and got one hell of a show and i'm sure now that the word is out, next year will be double.(with a few rule changes)

seems to be raining again so maybe wes did make a good call

With all the drivers and fans ready for the final show : Wes could have announced a rain date last Saturday night to keep everyone happy . What's that I see in the forecast ???? No rain Sunday ???? Now that could have been a great alternate date . You can't just give up on everything so easily .
