Stompin Tom got back to his winning ways in big style sat. night winning both his heats and also taking the checkers in the main event. Starting next to last in the first heat he soon got by the 57 of Ron Quennelle and the 19 of Jason Witty. He had a much tougher time getting by the 1 of Vic Parsons but managed to sneek by before the last lap and take the first heat. Starting outside pole in heat 2 he managed to outlast the 6 of Keith Mataio and eventually get by him and go untested the rest of the way. In the feature starting 8th i do beleive, he slowly picked off the opposition, eventually overtaking all others to take the checkers. Car looked awsome. In post race interview Tom went on to thank Kenny Donaldson and stickman for giving him such an awsome car to run with tonight. Kenny has got to be one of the smartest guys i know for setting up a car could be heard throughout the pit crowd. All in all one heck of a night of racing in all classes.

I think you will find that anyone that knows Tom , knows that what was said was in the heat of the moment and that he felt badly afterwards , anyways old news or history as some would say.
Yea it was some good racing..I always like going to Sunset..I'm going to make it a goal to at least attend a few more times this year.
LLM-Feature was great...speicaly for 2nd place...between Parsons,Ron & "Bam-Bam" Woody...near the end with some lap cars in the way..I really thought it was going to turn out bad..but they held it togther. Nobody was a match for Tom though..he really did "steal the show"
other winners were
TC:Rob Schuyler
Was a great race..3 cars "under a blanket" all feature long.
4cly:#14 Ken? (name is slipping my head)
Decent feature..not to much to report
4-Fun:#6 Terry Woodly?(again not sure)
4-Fun's was just pure madness from the get go...a complete restart after there was basicly 3 separate incidents on lap 1..lol and some crazy...4-5 wide racing!. caped off by a last lap(or 2nd last lap) pass in heavy lap traffic
Was that not some of the wildest racing of the year tonight in all classes. I cant remember a night when so many drivers went 3-4 and even 5 wide around most of the track let alone in the corners.
